Tell me how you got into this line of work?

Maria was doing encapsulations for her doula clients; Maryn was getting certified to do them. We were having coffee one day, and started talking about how amazing it would be to partner to offer placenta encapsulations. We launched Dallas-Ft. Worth Placenta in September 2015 and it's been growing quickly ever since.

How does your business differ from your competitors?  

We offer 24/7 on call pickup anywhere in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex, with guaranteed 48 hour turnaround time. We have dedicated commercial space for processing placentas.

You're a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be and why? 

We'd be the color of the coffee we drink every morning during our daily planning meeting.

If you were on an island and could only bring three things, what would you bring? 

A whiteboard, markers, and an eraser - that's how we do our best work!

What three things do you need to be successful in this business? 

Flexibility. A fully charged phone. Lots and lots of bleach.

What goals do you have for the future of your business? 

• Continue to grow the number of placentas we do each month.
• Help other encapsulators grow their businesses - we love sharing what we do and helping others create strong, sustainable businesses.
• Lobby QT to open a location within walking distance of our office (helllllooooo Diet Coke with vanilla and crushed ice!).
